New York, unscheduled

New Yorkers book friends like meetings, and dating apps become a second calendar: days of small talk, one reschedule, a "next week?" that never quite happens. Meanwhile the city keeps doing what it does best, with bars pouring until 4 a.m., trains running all night and a slice waiting on the walk home.

YesTonite is the unscheduled option. Switch on "out tonight", see who's heading out near you, and pick a corner you can both reach without two transfers. The best New York nights were never on anyone's calendar anyway.

Thursday through Saturday are the loudest, but a Tuesday here can outdo a Saturday somewhere else. Most people head out after 10, and last call is 4 a.m.
