About YesTonite
YesTonite is a free dating app for meeting people nearby who are going out tonight. There is no matching and no swiping: members see a photo, an age and a sign, anyone can say hi first, and one message opens the chat. First names stay hidden until a member shares theirs, and members can join or host public events. YesTonite runs on the web in 44 languages, with an Android app in testing and an iOS app on the way. It launches city by city, starting in Austin and Riga, and is made by City Dev, a company registered in the Netherlands.

How it works
- Say you’re out tonight and see who else nearby is.
- Say hi first: one message opens the chat, no match needed.
- Meet the same evening, one to one or at an event.
Why it’s different
No swiping, no matching
Anyone can write first. One message opens the chat for both people, so nobody waits for a match.
Made for tonight
Members say when they’re out tonight. A green dot shows it, and it switches off by itself in the morning.
Names stay private
Profiles show a photo, an age and a sign. A first name appears only when its owner shares it in a chat.
Public events
Members host parties, dinners and meetups, and a host can give an event its own public page to share. The exact address unlocks only for confirmed guests.
The founder
Jevgenij Karelin
Founder of YesTonite
Jevgenij Karelin is the founder of YesTonite. He was born in Riga and lived there for his first 30 years, then spent about ten years in the Netherlands, where City Dev, the company behind YesTonite, is registered in Haarlem. He builds the product with a small team. Riga is one of the first two launch cities, together with Austin.

Dating apps turned into pen-pal apps. You match, you chat for two weeks, and the date never happens. We built YesTonite for tonight.
