A few cañas, tonight?

In Madrid everyone is swamped until someone suggests a few cañas (small draught beers). YesTonite shows you who nearby is out tonight: send a message and meet today, not “one of these days”.

Madrid, one caña at a time

Hardly anyone here meets just for dinner. You meet “for a caña”, which turns into some patatas bravas, another terrace and a stroll to the next neighbourhood, from Malasaña to Chueca or from La Latina to Lavapiés. Dinner comes late and the night even later.

The problem is never the mood, it is the calendar: between work, the metro and the group chats, meeting someone new feels like paperwork. YesTonite boils it down to tonight: switch on “Out tonight”, see who else nearby is out and settle it with one message.

And on a Sunday, you know the drill: the Rastro flea market in the morning, then tardeo (afternoon drinks that run into the evening) in La Latina until it gets dark.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday are the big nights (Thursday is half-jokingly called “juernes”, Thurs-Friday), and before midnight the clubs are still half empty. In summer the terraces stretch any plan.

Where Madrid goes out

  • MalasañaSmall bars, indie music and the Plaza del Dos de Mayo packed until late.
  • ChuecaThe city's LGBTQ+ neighbourhood: terraces, cocktails and a buzz from early on.
  • La LatinaCava Baja for tapas, and the Sunday tardeo after the Rastro.
  • LavapiésA mixed, unpretentious neighbourhood: old-school bars and food from half the world.
  • Calle PonzanoIn Chamberí, a whole street of bars where after-work drinks stretch on by themselves.
  • HuertasThe Barrio de las Letras and Plaza de Santa Ana, a classic place to start with a few cañas.

How it works: three steps.

  1. Say you're out

Switch on "out tonight" and you get a green dot. It turns off by itself in the morning.

  2. Send one message

See a photo and an age, say something, and the chat opens for both of you. No matching first.

  3. Meet tonight

Pick a place, or join an event nearby. Same evening, not three weeks of small talk.

Events anyone can host

Know a terrace with a view or a bar with live music on Thursdays? On YesTonite anyone 18 or over can host an event: a tapas crawl through La Latina, karaoke, an early run in the Retiro or a language exchange in Lavapiés. Open events you join right away; for closed ones you request a spot, and only those who are in see the address.

Questions, answered

Has YesTonite just arrived in Madrid?

Yes, and we are just getting started. The profiles you see are real members who chose to show up; we never invent profiles or numbers.

Do people really meet the same night?

That is the idea. Switch on “Out tonight”, message someone else who is out and decide where to go. For a first meeting, pick a busy public spot, like a terrace on Plaza de Santa Ana.

Is my name visible?

No. The feed only shows a photo, your age and an approximate distance. Your name appears when you decide to share it in a chat.

How much does it cost?

Signing up, browsing and a few new chats every day are free, and replying is always free. If you ever want more chats, there are optional packs.

Is Madrid good for dating?

In the YesTonite City Index, Madrid is number 93 of 112 cities for dating, with a dating score of 3.7 out of 10.

Less scheduling, more cañas.

Free, 18+, any gender, solo or as a couple. Your first message opens the chat.
