Granada, one tapa at a time

In Granada you order a caña and it arrives with its tapa, without asking and without paying extra. That is why nobody here really has dinner: you go for tapas, bar to bar, along Calle Navas, Elvira or through the Realejo, and every round brings a surprise on the plate.

It is a city of students and of people who came for a year and stayed, with the Albaicín facing the Alhambra and Sierra Nevada less than an hour away. You can ski in the morning and go for tapas at night; the hard part is finding someone to go with. That is what YesTonite is for: see who is out today, write and meet up.

At sunset, the Mirador de San Nicolás fills with people waiting for the Alhambra to turn red. A good spot for a first meeting.

Thursday is student night; on Friday and Saturday everyone goes out. Tapas start from nine and drinks begin well after midnight.

Where Granada goes for tapas

  • Calle NavasNext to Plaza del Carmen, one tapas bar after another.
  • Calle ElviraUphill from Plaza Nueva: bars, tea houses and a buzz until late.
  • Pedro Antonio de AlarcónThe student street: bars, drinks and packed Thursdays.
  • RealejoThe old Jewish quarter, with terraces on the Campo del Príncipe.
  • AlbaicínSteep lanes, cármenes (walled garden houses) and the San Nicolás viewpoint facing the Alhambra.

How it works: three steps.

  1. Say you're out

Switch on "out tonight" and you get a green dot. It turns off by itself in the morning.

  2. Send one message

See a photo and an age, say something, and the chat opens for both of you. No matching first.

  3. Meet tonight

Pick a place, or join an event nearby. Same evening, not three weeks of small talk.

Events anyone can host

On YesTonite anyone 18 or over can host an event: a tapas crawl through the Realejo, a sunset at San Nicolás, a language exchange in the centre or a trip to Sierra Nevada with new people. Open events you join right away; for closed ones you request a spot, and only those who are in see the address.

For local creators and venues

Granada creators, going-out and tapas accounts, bars and student party organisers: share your YesTonite link and earn a fixed amount for every new customer who joins through it. Paid out monthly.
