Rotterdam just gets on with it

Rotterdam doesn't like endless talk. Deeds, not words, the city says about itself, and that is how it goes out too: a drink after work at the Oude Haven or on the Witte de Withstraat, and if the night is going well, on to a club in an old warehouse.

Dating apps do exactly the opposite: weeks of texting, plans that never happen. On YesTonite you see who else is out tonight, so you can suggest right away where to meet.

With the skyline along the Maas, the Erasmus Bridge and the Kaap on the other side, the city feels big, but the nightlife areas are close together. In July North Sea Jazz comes to town, and during the Summer Carnival the whole centre is one big party.

Events anyone can host

Anyone 18 or over can put an event on YesTonite in Rotterdam: drinks on the Kaap, a bike ride along the quays, a karaoke night or a photo walk past the architecture. Open events you join straight away; for closed ones you request a spot and only see the address once you're in.
