Warsaw after hours

Warsaw works late, then goes out. After a day in the office blocks of Mordor (as locals call the Służewiec business district) or in Śródmieście, some head for a beer in Powiśle, others for a cocktail by Plac Zbawiciela, and plenty of nights end up in Praga, across the Vistula.

In summer life moves to the riverside boulevards and the beaches along the Vistula, where people stay out late; in winter it moves into the bars of Śródmieście and Powiśle. The problem is rarely a lack of places. The hard part is getting anyone to walk over and say hello, while on the apps a conversation drags on for weeks and goes nowhere.
