Bordeaux is gavé bien

In Bordeaux you say chocolatine (never pain au chocolat), you stand up for your wine and you head to the riverside the moment the sun comes back. Locals would call it gavé bien, seriously good. The evening often starts with a glass of red on a terrace in Saint-Pierre or an apéro on the quays facing the Garonne. Then it’s on to the bars of Place de la Victoire with the students, the terraces of Saint-Michel, or Les Chartrons for a quieter drink. The keenest end up on Quai de Paludate.
