A stroll, a coffee and the sea

In Podgorica the evening starts with a đir, the slow stroll through town, and a coffee nobody rushes. Friends meet on Njegoševa or Hercegovačka, where cafés and bars sit side by side, and when it's live music you're after, you head to Bokeška. Summer in the city stays hot until midnight, so people go out once it cools down.

Summer belongs to the coast. In Budva the Old Town and Slovenska plaža stay alive until morning, in Kotor you wander the narrow streets inside the walls, and in August Bokeška noć brings decorated boats into the bay. In winter the coast goes quiet and weekends belong to the mountains and Podgorica's cafés.
