Going out in Cyprus

In Cyprus the evening usually starts at the table. A meze lasts for hours, dish after dish, and by the time dessert arrives the group has already decided where to go for drinks. Coffee, frappé or freddo, is also a reason to go out, whatever the hour.

In Limassol the night moves around Saripolou Square and the old town, with the Molos and the marina for a stroll by the sea. In Nicosia the bars hide inside the Venetian walls, around Onasagorou Street and Faneromeni, while Larnaca lives along Finikoudes and, in summer, at the beach bars of Mackenzie.
