What's new in YesTonite: smoother chats, more control, more safety
In the last weeks we made YesTonite faster, simpler and safer: better chats, a cleaner way to hide your profile, the app in every language, and new safety tools.

Since we opened YesTonite, we have been listening to everyone who uses it and fixing what felt slow, confusing or unfinished. Here is a round-up of what changed, without the technical details.
Chats that just work
- Send up to three photos in one message, and they now line up neatly in the chat.
- Write longer messages: the text field grows as you type.
- Photos are ready before they are sent, so nothing half-loaded ends up in a chat.
- Dates in chats are clear: you see the real date, not just a weekday.
- New messages and new chats give a short vibration on your phone, so you notice them.
More control over who sees you
- Hide my profile is now a weekly or monthly plan. While it runs, your profile is hidden from the feed but you can keep chatting. You can switch hiding off and on again any time during the paid period, and cancel whenever you like.
- When you block someone, the chat disappears for both of you. You find everyone you blocked in one list, where you can unblock them again.
- Unlimited new chats now last a full 24 hours from the moment you buy them, instead of ending at midnight.
Your language, everywhere
YesTonite is available in 44 languages, and now every screen follows the language you choose, from the first page to the last setting. Prices are shown in your local currency.
Easier sign-in
You can now sign up and log in with your Google account in one tap, on the website and in the app.
Safety and privacy
- Our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are published in plain language.
- You can delete your account yourself at any time, and a public page explains exactly what is deleted and what is kept, and for how long.
- Notifications are easier to switch on and off, and only arrive if you want them.
A smoother app
Small things add up: pop-ups appear calmly instead of bouncing, the app scrolls back to the top when you tap a tab twice, and the website no longer scrolls in two places at once on a computer. We also watch the service around the clock, so problems are spotted and fixed quickly.
What's next
The Android app is in its final test before the Google Play launch, and the iPhone app follows after that. If you have an Android phone, you can join the test group and help us launch.
Thank you for being here early. Keep telling us what you think: every improvement on this list started with someone's message.
